Northfall Studio builds focused iOS products with restraint. This page explains how we approach privacy for Northfall Studio and our apps, including NorthVault.
1. Our approach
Northfall Studio aims to collect only the information needed to operate, support, and improve our products. NorthVault is designed as a privacy-aware subscription tracking app, and we avoid unnecessary data collection.
2. NorthVault app data
NorthVault does not require a NorthVault account, bank account connection, or email inbox access. Information you enter into NorthVault is used to provide the app’s watchlist, renewal reminder, and cancellation guidance features. If iCloud sync is enabled, app data may be stored and synced using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services. Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. NorthVault does not sell personal data and does not use watchlist data for third-party advertising.
3. Information you enter into the app
Information you enter into NorthVault may include subscription names, renewal dates, prices, notes, provider links, trial information, and cancellation-related details. This information is used to provide the app’s core subscription watchlist, renewal awareness, reminder, and cancellation-related features.
4. No sale of personal data
Northfall Studio does not sell personal data. NorthVault does not use your subscription watchlist, provider links, notes, or cancellation-related information for third-party advertising.
5. iCloud and syncing
If iCloud sync is available and enabled, app data may be stored and synced using Apple’s iCloud or CloudKit services so your NorthVault data can be available across your Apple devices. iCloud and CloudKit are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
6. Purchases
If you purchase paid features, subscriptions, or other in-app offerings, purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Northfall Studio does not directly process your payment card information.
7. Safari extension and browser-related features
If NorthVault provides a Safari extension or browser-related feature and you choose to enable it, that feature is used to help identify trial or subscription-related pages so you can save or review relevant information in NorthVault. It is not used to sell personal data or to target third-party advertising.
8. Diagnostics and crash information
We may receive limited diagnostics, crash information, and performance information through Apple-provided tools and platform services. We use this to improve reliability, fix bugs, and improve app performance.
9. Support contact
If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your request and provide support.
10. Third-party services
Some products may rely on platform services provided by Apple or other service providers for app distribution, purchases, syncing, diagnostics, or support. These services are governed by their own privacy practices.
11. Children’s privacy
Our products are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our products evolve. If we make material changes, we will update this page.
